Hello Everyone,
I first want to thank you for your willingness to participate in The Comfort Queen (TCQ) Support Our Troops. We provide care packages for soldiers with items that I found have been requested consistently by our troops.
Our goal is to help our soldiers when in need while they are overseas. But our helping hand doesn’t stop there! This also helps make their return to the states easier, with an adjustment period that won’t be as difficult or financially draining, since the extra cost of moving away is not covered by the U.S. Government. Although the soldiers do receive extra pay for serving overseas, it is still not enough to cover their expenses - especially since compensation is dependent on their rank. This time away sometimes prevents spouses from keeping their employment. Additionally, a lot of soldiers lose their homes while they are away and have no way to prevent it from happening.
Aside from care packages for the troops, TCQ also does many events to raise money to benefit our military families. We must not forget that they too sacrifice and serve. TCQ provides these families with school supplies and food. At times we also help with bill payments, clothing and childcare.
Below is a list of items that I have found are regularly requested by troops while away. Please remember that whatever you donate has to uphold all temperatures. These are just suggestions and all donations are appreciated:
Shampoo Bobby Pins Body Cream Baby Wipes
Conditioner Wash Cloths Hair Ties Feminine Products
Soap Magazines Books
Shaving Cream Batteries (AA, C, AAA,9VLT) Brownies
Razors Candy Cookies
Dental Floss Chips & Dips Playing Cards
Sun Screen Dominoes Microwave Food
Lip Balm Cereal Fruit/Cereal Bars
Tooth Brush Dry Boxed Food Canned Food (meats, vegetables)
Pens Stationary Calling Cards
Tees Socks Bed Sheets (twin size)
Towels DVD’s gift cards (itunes)
Frisbies Sports Equipment (boxing, football, baseball) powdered drinks
Please do not get anything white (tees, sheets, towels etc…) since they will get dirty quickly in the conditions of their environment. Also please do not send any chocolates or items that will melt. If you plan on sending any canned foods, please provide us with the can opener if needed.
Another way to donate is by having The Comfort Queen plan and/or cater your next event. 10% of your total goes towards items for packages to soldiers or their family members.
Please send all items to: The Comfort Queen
265 Spicebush Drive
East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us by email at:
Info@thecomfortqueen.com
If you feel you want to help but cannot send any items and would like to make a monetary donation, we take donations through paypal.com at info@thecomfortqueen.com
Another way of helping is by placing a food order through www.TheComfortQueen.com where 15% of your total purchase will be put towards supporting our troop’s families.
Again I want to thank you for joining together with TCQ in supporting our troops. It does not take much to help, but it will be well appreciated by one of our soldiers.
Sincerely,
Michelle Moy

Thank You Letters
The below "thank you" letter (retyped, for your ease in reading) was received from the Soldiers of the B Co., 7-101 159 CAB. We sent We Care packages to everyone in their unit.
“Dear Ms.Michelle Moy, and “The Comfort Queen” volunteers,
We have received your many care packages and would like to thank you for your kindness, recognition, and wonderful goodies! Knowing that what we do is appreciated by Americans gives us a sense of pride, and makes a great impact on our everyday lives, so please know that by showing you care, it does a world of good for all of us here.
Also, for some inexplicable reason receiving any type of mail is always something to look forward to (especially mail of the candy variety!) For those soldiers with little or no family, the care packages you send are doubly appreciated. It feels good to know that you aren’t forgotten.
We would like to compliment you on your expert packing abilities as well. Each package is like a tiny Christmas with a side of Mary Poppin’s purse, and we’re all amazed by the fact that not a single inch of space is unused! We would also like to compliment you on the items included. You’ve somehow managed to cover all basis and we are extremely impressed. Especially since each package has both candy and dental care products (obviously someone thought ahead!)
In short, all of us with B Co 7101 would like to sincerely thank you once again. Your efforts are very much appreciated and have helped to brighten our days.
Sincerely,
The soldiers of Varsity Flight Company, B Co., 7101, 159 CAB

Subject: Thank you from Iraq
I just wanted to send my thanks to all of you for making this program work. I was amazed at how much stuff was inside that little box. My name is SGT. Ryan Hill. I am a Cavalry Scout with the 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. I am somewhere in Iraq and have been for about 4 months. The amount of action here seems to ebb and flow not unlike the ocean back home. My mission now is training the Iraqi soldiers so that one day American soldiers can come home and stay. This is my fifth deployment since 2001. I can still remember 9/11. I was just getting up to fly out on my first deployment. So there is a lot riding on us training these soldiers to standard. I would like to just have at least 1 solid year home with my family.
I could not have asked for a more put together package. I love snickers, Hershey’s, rice crispie treats, and the best gift of all was the baby wipes! Those are definitely a must have. If you could pass on for me my thanks to everyone involved. I have never met any of you and I see that even total strangers can care too. We are all in this fight whether we like it or not. Thank you for doing you parts as well.

Hello to all....I received one of your packages and wanted to say THANK YOU for your thoughfullness and generosity. I am an FBI agent that is assigned to the 101st Airborne Div. in Bagram, Afghanistan. The FBI's mission in Afghanistan is to protect the "Homeland" from afar and mentor Afghan law enforcement on how we put together criminals case in America.
I work on a daily basis with two Afghan Ministrey of Interior (MOI) investigators. The MOI is our counter part in Afghanistan. I have shared with them your package. They both live in conditions that are very different from what we are used to in America (i.e. limited electrical power, no medicine, multi generations living in the same house...etc). They, as well as I, are extremely grateful!!!
Thank you again, and it's Americans like yourself that make our job easy!!!!

I wanted to take a minute and say Thank you for the package, and it to let you know that we definitly needed it. You have no ideal how much it means to us to recieve a package from a complete stranger. It really helps my younger guys who hadnt been here before, understand just why we do what we do.
